Rebecca Light is a 2200 hours registered massage therapist who graduated with honours from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy. She is trained in Swedish relaxation massage techniques as well as techniques of orthopaedic testing used to identify and create a treatment plan for injuries or soft tissue conditions. During her practicum she shadowed a gifted physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience. Rebecca developed a strong foundation in range of motion testing for all the joints in the body and how to recognize and treat a normal versus dysfunctional range of motion.
Prior to becoming a massage therapist Rebecca graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a major in Metalsmithing and jewellery making. The manual dexterity of a craftsperson and the sensitivity of an artist’s eye, has given Rebecca a finely tuned intuitive healing touch that is excellent at finding and working out areas of pain and tension. Dedicated to helping her clients understand their body mechanics, Rebecca is passionate about educating clients about optimal pain free movement.
Rebecca Lives in Calgary in a home overflowing with books and plants. In her free time she is a painter and loves to spend time in nature.
